Install Java SE Development Kit for BT Loader on MacBook
Scope
This document describes how to install the Java on a MacBook. Java is required by the BT loader application.
Introduction
If, after installation of the BT Loader application an error message is displayed “ “BTLoader” cannot be verified because the developer cannot be verified”. The error message normally indicates that the Java development kit is not installed on the MacBook.

| 3 | In the first grey block of the downloads page tick “Accept License Agreement”. | |
| 4 | Find the line item “Mac OS X x64 253.4 MB” and click on the blue text “jdk-8u231-macosx-x64.dmg” to begin the download. |

| 5 | If you don’t have an ORACLE account, you will be prompted to create one. Registration is free. Complete the form with your details and click “Create Account”. | |
| 6 | If you are not redirected to downloads page. Type “Java SE Development Kit 8 Downloads” in the search bar or use the link provided to navigate to the page again. https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html | |
| 7 | Find the line item “Mac OS X x64 253.4 MB” and click on the blue text “jdk-8u231-macosx-x64.dmg” to begin the download. The install file will download to your computer. | |
| 8 | After the download has finished, navigate to where your file has downloaded and double-click to install the file. | |
| 9 | Follow the on-screen prompts that appear in the dialog. | |
| 10 | After installation is complete, close the dialog box. | |
| 11 | Open BT Loader APP. | |
