Comb Portal – Release 1.8.3 – Release Notes

Based on market feedback, as well as feedback from our testers, Comb
Communications schedules development efforts to address problems or the call
for new features. We appreciate feedback on the functionality and usability of our
software service platforms and prioritize our efforts accordingly.

In this release, several new enhancements and fixes have been addressed.

CP-401Out of Bundle auto purchase - The administrator of a complex can now enable or disable the automatic purchase of data and airtime when the bundled data or airtime is depleted before the normal billing period. The feature is accessed via the Devices screen.
CP-407Messaging create .dat files - When attaching files to an email group and the file name was too long, the email server would change the file type to a .dat file, thus preventing users from opening the file, for example, as a PDF file.
CP-408Implement the new Unit / Person interface. - A new user interface for Unit / Person maintenance has been implemented. The new maintenance screens provide a more streamline look and easier adding, editing and deleting of persons for a unit in an organisation.

Message groups not being saved correctly - The administrator of the organisation can now change the message type for a user defined message group. Create groups for SMS's and emails without having to add recipients to the groups in order for the group to be saved correctly. 

CP-518Duplicate checking for SMS and Email goups  - Checking for duplicate email and mobile numbers in the user defined groups is active. Duplicate email and mobiles number will still be visible in the group lists as a "Owner" may have multiple units in a complex. Duplicate checking is done when the actual SMS or email is sent. This has a cost implications for sending SMS's to duplicate numbers.
