This document describes the upgrading a MK II BB/BBH to a MK II Lite.

Comb MK II Lite or Comb MK II NS Upgrade kit

Nano SIM card

Before commencing the upgrade make note of the current wiring: mains and relay connections.

 

 

Switch Off the mains supply to the intercom at the DB board or plug

 

 

If the current installation uses a transformer, it must be replaced with the 15V power supply

 

 

Remove the MK II BB PCB

On older back boxes only one set of mounting pillars available

 

 

Use the bottom two mounting pillars

Use supplied stand offs

 

 

Power connectors located in similar positions.

 

 

Relay connectors located in same

position.

OBR is now mounted of the PCB to improve range

 

 

Remove SIM tray and place existing SIM card (cut to fit) or new Nano SIM card

Note:

Confirm SIM tray is fitted.

Remove buzzer protection sticker.

Place the MK II PL onto the correct pillars and secure using 4 x screws.

  1. Connect antenna.

  2. Carefully push the OBR antenna wire through the OBR antenna hole.

Connect Power to +PWR-.

Line up the fingers on the front plate the the holes in the back box and insert.

Connect cable-earth.

Attach the ribbon cable from the front panel.

  1. Attach the 2 way speaker cable.

  2. Attach the 4 way microphone cable.

Connect the battery.

Place the ICASA label onto the bottom of the black box.

Place the ICASA label onto the white cardboard box next to the serial number label.
